Niven room

The Niven Room leads off the museum's art gallery and is multi-purpose space.

The Niven Room is 10.55m x 4.32 in size and can be used as a classroom, workshop venue, meeting room and art gallery.

Ora Garden

The Ora Garden courtyard is available for hire for your special occasion.

The venue is most suitable for cocktail parties, wedding receptions, concerts and small corporate functions.

A wide variety of events, suitable for up to 100 people, are held in this unique outdoor venue especially during the warmer months from November to March.

Museum reception

The museum reception, at the entrance to the museum, is also an attractive gathering space for up to 150 people, for art gallery openings, powhiri and book launches.

The Maori meeting house forms a special backdrop to this 85m space.
