Housebound Book Delivery Service
Who can use the service?
To be eligible for this service you need to be a library member and unable to access the library in the short or long-term due to disability, illness, or injury. If you are not a library member, contact us about joining.
How does it work?
Books are selected by library staff based on your preferences. Once a month, books are then delivered by volunteer drivers or can be collected by a friend or relative.
Please be aware the service relies on the availability of volunteers and although we will endeavour to provide a district service there may be some rural areas that we are unable to provide deliveries to. All enquiries are welcome.
How do I register for the service?
You will need to complete an application and, if eligible for the service, we will arrange a phone call to find out your preferences.
If you are interested in this service, contact staff at Taupō or Tūrangi Library.
