Friends
The museum and art gallery has 350 Friends many of whom have been strong supporters for years. Our Friends organisation provides a link to the days when the museum was run by a voluntary museum society and remains a tangible sign of community support for our facility.
Our Friends membership offers a range of benefits including:
- Invitations to our regular art exhibition openings
- Invitations to special Friends' functions organised by the committee
- A 15% discount off purchases from the museum shop
- Regular newsletters
Our Friends also volunteer in our day to day activities and organize community activities such as the monthly Lunchtime Talks.
Annual Subscriptions
Single $5 + donation $20 = $25
Double $10 + $30 donation = $40
Friends for Life: Individual = donation $200 or Double = $300

Volunteers
Museum Volunteers are an integral part of our day to day activities contributing around 1000 hours per year. Our volunteers assist with many tasks including work in the art gallery as exhibition volunteers, as heritage walk guides escorting visitors on an hour-long walk of historical interest, keeping our Ora Garden free of weeds and with research and cataloguing. We value their contribution in keeping the Museum a great attraction for our community and visitors alike.
