Thank you for having your say!
Between 19 August and 4 September, we asked what you want to see for you, for your community, and for future generations.
Every three years Taupō District Council develops a Long-term Plan that sets the direction and budget over the next 10 years. The Long-term Plan process supports the community and council to make decisions about where best to put council’s time and the community’s money. It requires a long-term focus so that our finances and our assets stay in good shape for future generations.
During the pre-engagement period, the community had a chance to provide feedback through a series of community meetings, engagement events, and an online survey. The online survey received 204 responses.
You can read all of the feedback received here:
What happens next?
Now, taking into account the feedback received during pre-engagement, council will write the draft Long-term Plan 2024-34.
In June 2024, we will ask the community for feedback on this draft Long-term Plan in a formal consultation process. Once again, it will be really important you take the opportunity to have your say before the document is formally adopted by council.
