What we do

Council provides:

Parks and reserves. These often include amenities such as playgrounds, public toilets, walking trails, and seats.
Community sportsgrounds and facilities for physical activity, sports and recreation.
Swimming pools in Taupō, Tūrangi, and a summer pool in Mangakino.
Libraries in Taupō, Tūrangi and Mangakino, and a museum in Taupō.

Coming up with a long-term plan to improve the Great Lake Centre and Taupō Events Centre.
More activities for kids at AC Baths, such as a splash pad.
Improving Secombe Park and Wharewaka Point Reserve.
Reviewing some of our public toilets.
