The community is advised to avoid a stand of gum trees in a Kuratau reserve after they were damaged by strong winds.
Gum trees at Whiowhio Reserve in Kuratau were damaged in a storm earlier this month. Signage warning people to keep clear of the trees has been erected at the entrances to the reserve.
An arborist is currently assessing the extent of the damage to work out what action can be taken. One will be removed as it is beyond repair.
