Ruapehu Street intersection upgrade

It's upgrade time for the Paora Hapi Street and Ruapehu Street intersection!

Work will begin on July 23 to improve visibility and safety for drivers and pedestrians and to make the intersection more visually appealing. Taupo District Council landscape architect Fraser Scott says the intersection will have a more modern design and be built out of timber, stone and concrete, similar to what has been done at the Ruapehu/Roberts Street intersection.

Work should be completed weather-permitting by mid-October, and drivers and pedestrians are asked to take extra care while the works are underway.
