Turangi Reserves Management Plan on hold

The development of the Turangi Reserves Management Plan is on hold pending further discussions between TaupoDistrict Council and Ngāti Tūrangitukua.

The management plan was initiated in March 2016 under the Turangi Reserves Management Committee. It was created to manage reserves in the Turangi urban area, including reserves under the administration of the Taupō District Council and those identified in the Ngāti Tūrangitukua Claims Settlement Act 1999.

However, at a workshop held by the committee in March, it was agreed to put the management plan on hold until discussions had been held.
