We're improving our district's water
The lakeside settlements of Acacia Bay and Kinloch are popular spots which are both growing in size, which means we need to ensure the water infrastructure can accommodate more people moving into these areas.
We're currently doing some work to upgrade how water is supplied to these settlements, which will ensure a reliable supply of fresh water to residents and visitors into the future.
In order to complete this work we need to briefly shut down the water supply.
We will shut down the water in Kinloch from 10am to 3pm on Tuesday November 29. A water tanker will be in Kinloch on the day in case of emergency, or if residents require water during the shutdown.
We will shut down the water in Acacia Bay from 11.30pm on Thursday December 1 to 5am on Friday December 2.
While there won't be a water supply to properties during this time, contractors will work as quickly as possible to ensure disruption is minimal. Residents should avoid using taps during the shutdown and when the water supply resumes, taps should be run for a few minutes to clear any air or discolouration from the system.
