The AC Baths private thermal pools are back open after an extensive upgrade. The new pools are bigger and better, and facilities manager Darren Penketh said there are also two new showers for sauna users and a ‘history wall’ charting the changes to the facility over the years.
“There are now four private pools and they are much larger, so groups have room to spread out a bit more,” he said, “and there are also landscaped gardens in each pool room to make the spaces more user friendly. It’s great to get this project over the finish line as it has been delayed by COVID-19 and interruptions to the supply of materials, but I think the finished pools look fantastic.”
The pools cost $25 per person, for a 30-minute session. Minimum of two people required. Pay at reception, advance bookings will be available soon.
