Lane closures on Tongariro Street next week

Our contractors are back on the tools on Tongariro Street as the Taupō Town Centre Transformation ramps up again!

The first piece of work is to install new kerbs on the western side of the street, and to do this swiftly and safely we’ll be closing the northbound lane from 6am to 6pm, Monday to Friday next week. There will also be two night closures of the northbound lane, on Tuesday and Thursday. The southbound lane will remain open at all times.

Access to Story Place via the temporary roundabout will remain in place for southbound traffic on Tongariro Street and traffic coming from te Heuheu Street.
