Making roads while the sun shines.

It’s been a busy few weeks on the Lake Terrace/Tītīraupenga Street intersection with our contractors making the most of the good weather to prepare for the installation of the new road layout.

We have also been taking the opportunity to strengthen our stormwater infrastructure while we are working in this area. In addition to installing new stormwater pipes along the roadway, the team is also putting in retaining structures that will help protect our lake in extreme weather events.

They have also prepared the berm of Northcroft Reserve to have a new shared pathway installed. This pathway will be three metres wide and will mean pedestrians and cyclists can safely move through the new intersection.

Contractors started pouring the concrete of this new shared pathway today and we will keep you updated with any road closures needed.
