Upcoming events at Spa Thermal Park

Attention Spa Thermal Park dog walkers and disc golfers.

Taupō Cyclocross is a new biking event hitting Spa Thermal Park this Sunday 27 August, catering to both novice and experienced riders. The public can expect increased activity and limited parking in the area between 7am to 2pm on event day. The course will also require temporary closure of three of the disc golf holes (back course only).

Next week, on Tuesday 29 August, 700 young athletes will descend on the park for their interschool cross-country event. Please expect lots of activity in the area between 9am and 3pm. Good luck to all the competitors!

We know Spa Thermal Park is a popular spot for off-leash dog exercise, so please be aware that space may be limited during race times. Please be mindful of event participants and spectators and consider whether you need to keep your dog on a lead.

You could always explore other fantastic dog-friendly parks in Taupō, such as Control Gates Reserve, Kimberley Reserve, Tamatea Water Reserve, Titoki Water Reserve, and Hawai Street Reserve.
