Oceania Triathlon Championships hits Taupō this Sunday

Oceania Triathlon Championships Taupō 2024 are back this Sunday 14 April.
Elite athletes from across the Oceania region will compete for National titles with qualifying points on the line for entry to the Olympics.
To keep everyone safe, some roads will be closed around Three Mile Bay and Wharewaka on Sunday from 10am to 2.30pm.
- Three Mile Bay Boat Ramp and car park.
- The Great Lake Pathway around Wharewaka Point.
- Wharewaka Road (from Kohatu Parade to Stanley Street, and from Heeni Street to Three Mile Bay Boat Ramp turnaround)
- Kohatu Parade (from Heeni Street to Wharewaka Road)
- Heeni Street (from Wharewaka Road to Pokaka Crescent)
- Pokaka Cresent (from Heeni Street to Kohatu Parade)
- Teti Street (from Heeni Street to Kohatu Parade)
- Stanley Street (from Logan Avenue to Wharewaka Point)
- Logan Avenue (from Wharewaka Road to Stanley Street)
Please follow the directions of course marshals while in the area.
Competitors will Check, Clean, and Dry their gear to avoid the spread of invasive clams.
