Acacia Bay's Besley Park on Wakeman Road has a new playground!
Late in 2015, we sought feedback from the community on which of five designs they wanted for their neighbourhood after they were shortlisted by the Acacia Bay Residents' Association. The community voted overwhelmingly in favour of a pirate ship playground, which will be aimed at children aged five to 12.
A lot of people commented that the pirate ship playground looked safe, had a wide range of activities and was something that would appeal to large age range.
The new playground replaced much of the old equipment behind the tennis courts, but is located across the road from the Acacia Bay Community Hall.
We put it here because it's easily accessible and visible, and nestled among the trees which will make for a great environment for children to explore.
The playground was officially opened in mid-April.
