Timeline

The timelines directed by central government are tight. We will have to work quickly to deliver our Water Services Delivery Plan alongside the other commitments set out in our Long-term Plan.

Timline for Water Services Delivery Plan development.

February 2025

Council is expected to finalise its options to consult with the community on. That is, whether our water services delivery arrangement could be inhouse, through the development of a CCO, in partnership with Waikato councils, or some other delivery model.

March 2025

We will be asking for your views and incorporating community feedback into our decision making.

April-June 2025

We will review the community feedback and our options analysis before making a final decision on how we propose to deliver water services into the future.

September 2025

The finalised Taupō District Council Water Services Delivery Plan (or joint plan with other councils) is required to be delivered to central government by September 2025.
