Recognising outstanding community contribution

The Taupō District has an abundance of special groups and individuals that make a huge contribution to their community and those in it. Mayor David Trewavas wants to formally recognise these people who work behind the scenes, often doing unpaid voluntary work over long periods of time to improve community wellbeing.

The Mayoral Community Awards is also a fitting occasion to recognise those who have done something extraordinary for their community which has not been recognised in any other forum.
