Connections' Taupo Art Connection
Taupo Museum main gallery
September 20 - October 14 2014
The beauty and power of relationships is the theme of a new exhibition at Taupo Museum by local art group Taupo Art Connection.
Twenty-eight local artists are showcasing their artwork at the exhibition, which starts on Saturday. It celebrates the connections formed within the Taupo Art Connection group and how that has enriched members' lives and art.
The exhibition features a diverse collection of artwork from abstract to realism, sculpture, ceramics and wood-turning. It follows the group's first successful exhibition, Embracing Diversity, which took place three months after local artists, Sue Graham and Sally-Ann Davies first created Taupo Art Connection in 2012.
The exhibition is on from September 20 to October 14 at Taupo Museum. There will be live demonstrations and artist talks at the weekends. Taupo Museum is open seven days from 10am to 4.30pm. Entry is free to children and Taupo District residents with proof of address.
