Inframax win maintenance contract
Inframax Construction has been awarded the maintenance contract for the Taupo District for the next five years.
The contract includes maintenance of sealed and unsealed pavements, storm water structures, surface water channels, road shoulders, edge marker posts, signs, non-structural bridge maintenance, footpaths, street sweeping, reserves road and carparks, mowing and chemical control of roadside vegetation, and emergency maintenance works. The contract also includes the resealing of approximately 23 kilometres of sealed pavement annually.
Transport and projects manager Colin Giles said Inframax impressed during the procurement process with the strong tender they put forward. "Inframax Construction have put together a fantastic team and we look forward to joining with them to continue looking after the place we love."
Inframax foreman Stu Fraser said the company was excited about the contract. "We look forward to strengthening our partnership and providing road maintenance excellence.
Inframax have set up new premises including office and parking space in Tauhara Road for their team and have employed an additional five local staff.
