Lakefront warning signs
News
16 February 2015
Warning signs have been put up on the lakefront opposite the fire station, following a sewage overflow to the stormwater system in Rawhiti Street this morning.
At this stage it is not known whether any sewage has entered the lake.
Signs warning people not to swim have been put up as a precautionary measure until the results of water testing are known tomorrow.
The overflow is thought to have been caused by a piece of broken concrete getting lodged in a pipe.
