Remedial work on Great Lake Walkway

A section of the widened Great Lake Walkway is being redone to ensure it is of high quality.

Contractors working on the Great Lake Walkway from Ferry Road to the Lake Terrace water treatment plant are relaying the first section at Ferry Road.

The work is being done to bring the 76 metre section up to the same high standard as the rest of the path.

Facilities manager Andrew Boden said there was a quality of work clause in the contract which allowed for any work that didn't meet the standard required to be remedied.

It is expected to be completed by the end of February and is at no cost to the council.
