Sell your pre-loved art at the museum
Taupo Museum is offering residents a chance to sell their second-hand art in its pre-loved art sale.
The museum is calling for art to be submitted for the sale from September 26 to October 21 and the works will be on display for visitors to purchase in November and December.
The exhibition was previously known as Second Hanging, with the name changed to better reflect what is on offer.
Exhibitions officer Kerence Stephen said the museum was keen to hear from people who had pre-loved original art including paintings, sculpture, ceramics and collectible or numbered prints to sell.
"This is a great opportunity for people who might be downsizing or have art that no longer fits their dcor to sell it on to someone new," she said. "It's a way to keep quality art in circulation and able to be enjoyed by many more viewers."
Pre-loved art can be assessed for suitability at the museum from September 26 to October 21. The Pre-Loved Art Sale will be held from November 4 to December 11 in the main gallery. For terms and conditions around appropriate art and the sale process, visit the museum what's on page on our website.
