Show our visitors around town

Do you enjoy meeting people? Are you friendly, helpful and approachable? We are recruiting community ambassadors for the busy summer ahead, so if you answered yes to these questions, you're our kind of person!

We want visitors to our town to experience the best Taupo has to offer, and community ambassadors are there to guide the way. The voluntary role involves giving directions as well as sharing information and knowledge about the town. It's a great way to use what you know to encourage visitors to enjoy all our town has to offer.

Next week we are holding an information session for anyone interested in becoming part of the team.

This is the sixth year the ambassador programme will run and an official Taupo Community Ambassadors group is currently being formed to take over the programme's administration.

We provide training and uniform and ambassadors are only required to commit to a few hours a week.
