Water will be turned off in Turangi on Wednesday night to allow maintenance to be carried out on the reservoir that provides the town's water supply.
The planned shut down between from 11pm will affect Turangi and Tokaanu. Water is expected to be restored by 5am.
Contractors will be replacing a component that measures water usage in Turangi and Tokaanu. Taupo District Council chose to do the work at 11pm in order to minimise the impact on residents.
