Two Mile Bay warning signs

Warning signs have been put up at Two Mile Bay following a sewage spill in Marshall Avenue on Thursday morning.

Results from testing today confirmed that an unknown quantity of sewage had entered the lake however it was not believed it was a significant amount. The spill had also been diluted due to the stormwater flows from the previous night's rain. Testing will take place every 24 hours until results show levels have returned to within recreational guidelines at which time the signs will be removed.
