Velodrome upgrade
This week marks the start of an upgrade of the velodrome at Owen Delany Park. Work is being undertaken to resurface the track, which will ensure a faster and smoother surface for all cyclists.
The first phase of the upgrade will be outside of the track itself however, with the lighting units and poles being removed to allow access.
Council project manager Travis Delich is involved in the upgrade and is excited to see what the finished product will look like.
"Getting the velodrome sorted here will ensure we continue to have a fantastic facility for both local and visiting riders to enjoy."
People are advised to take care when in the area when machinery are operating. The track will be closed periodically over the course of the works.
