Watch This Space
16 October 2015
Experience the art of dance in artistic surroundings at Taupo Museum when national dance company Footnote New Zealand Dance visits later this month.
The Wellington-based group is giving a free impromptu performance entitled Watch This Space in response to the art and displays featured in the museum and galleries.
Library and museum manager Luisa Haines said it was an exciting event for the museum and something different. Dance is a beautiful art form and Footnote comes highly regarded, she said. We are thrilled to be able to host this performance for free for the community and visitors to enjoy.
The dance company is stopping in Taupo while making its way around the country on their 30Forward tour. The tour is about the three decades of innovation in Footnote's history.
The show will be on Wednesday, October 28 at 4pm and will last about half an hour. It is free to attend courtesy of sponsorship from the Friends of the Taupo Museum.
