Welcome to all competitors
It's that time again, when we warmly welcome all athletes, their families and supporters for the Kellogg's Nutrigrain IRONMAN New Zealand.
This year marks the 39th running of this iconic event, and it marks an anniversary year for us, with the 20th consecutive time it has been held here in Taupo.
We have put together the best team of volunteers available to guide athletes throughout their quest, support them in their efforts and celebrate with them at the finish line. There is over 2000 volunteers across the course - a remarkable 10 per cent of our district's population! This week the atmosphere has been building and will no doubt reach fever pitch tomorrow.
Please be aware it will take you a little longer to find that prime viewing spot or travel through town.
