Kerb to be replaced in Turangi
News
Sections of kerb and gutter are being replaced in Te Rangitautahanga Road in Turangi town centre to ensure the roadside remains attractive and functional.
Cumulatively the collapsed and damaged kerb and gutter covers about 400m and Taupō District Council has received requests from residents and business owners to fix the issue.
The work is part of the renewals programme the council carries out annually in Turangi. It will cost about $70,000 and is being carried out by Inframax, who secured the contract for road maintenance in August last year.
Work is expected to begin this week and hoped to be completed prior to Easter. Traffic management will be in place and there will be minor disruptions to traffic and pedestrians.
