Crown Road is now open after repairs to the road have been completed, following a subsidence incident earlier this month.
The road was closed immediately following the incident that left one house unhabitable, cut water and wastewater to several houses and which also caused damage to Invergarry Road closing it for two days.
After initial water and wastewater repairs took place within 24-hours, Invergarry Road was opened.
Development engineer Roger Stokes said Crown Road had remained shut due to larger repairs being required.
“With the road closed, we improved a 17-metre stretch of road with one-metre deep rehabilitation work which encompassed improving three other areas of concern on the road before resealing the surface,” he said.
The Ashwood Park stormwater pond and footpaths in close proximity also underwent improvements.
Crown Park has been restored and was opened earlier this week following being fenced off for repairs earlier in the week. It is open for football this weekend.
