Phone & Collect service now temporarily available at the libraries
It’s good news for book-lovers, with a free, contactless Phone & Collect service now temporarily available during Alert Level 3 at Mangakino, Taupō and Turangi Libraries.
With the library buildings closed to the public at Alert Level 3, this temporary service means current library members can now borrow physical books. DVDs are also available through this service, however a rental fee will apply.
To access our Phone & Collect service you need to:
- Phone us on 07 376 0070 from 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday and let us know how many books or DVDs you would like and what type.
- We will get your order ready and get in touch to arrange your collection day and time.
- You collect your items at the scheduled time and selected location.
Library manager Luisa Haines said the Phone & Collect service adds to the digital services currently available for the community.
“While we can’t open our library buildings at Alert Level 3, this temporary Phone & Collect service is another option for people who may want physical books and DVDs,” she said.
“This service is completely contactless for the safety of our customers and stringent hygiene procedures are in place.
“It adds to our free e-books, e-audio and e-resources which are currently available through our eBooks and eAudiobooks page.”
Please be aware that our after-hours book returns slots remain closed, and all loans of library items have been extended until 30 June 2020 and no fines and fees will accrue while the libraries are closed.
