Superloo to close for spruce up
News
The Taupō Superloo, cnr Tongariro St and Storey Pl, will be closed next week for maintenance and refurbishment. The work includes replacing the facility’s three extractor fans, replacing toilet floors worn through high use and carrying out minor electrical work.
The Superloo, which has previously won two Keep New Zealand Beautiful Awards, will be closed from Monday May 31 and will reopen on Saturday June 5.
The maintenance was purposely left till after the school holidays to avoid closing the facilities during a high use period. Nearby Council-run public toilets further down Tongariro St and around the corner at the Boat Harbour are available during the Superloo’s temporary closure.
