Acacia Bay residents asked to avoid non-essential water usage
Residents in Acacia Bay are being asked to avoid non-essential water usage where possible tomorrow, Tuesday 17 May, while our team are putting the finishing touches on the project to have Acacia Bay and Mapara residents connected to the Taupō town water supply.
For the day, normal water usage such as showering, cooking and flushing toilets is fine, but please hold off on non-essential water usage like washing vehicles or watering your garden.
The work will be taking place near the intersection of Acacia Bay Road and Reeves Road so as always, please drive carefully around the work site.
The work being carried out tomorrow will complete all of the underground infrastructure required and mark a major milestone in the project that has seen a new water main installed next to Acacia Bay Road – and a new shared use footpath constructed at the same time – as well as work on associated pump stations.
