Intersection closures for remedial road works

We have some remedial road works taking place at the Tamamutu and Tītīraupenga streets intersection on Monday and Tuesday next week, followed by the Lake Terrace and Tītīraupenga Street intersection the following week, 19-21 September.

As long as the weather plays ball, detours will be used on those dates so please follow the guidance of the team and the detour signage in place.

We’re committed to making our Taupō Town Centre Transformation project world class, and our contractor Downer shares this vision so will be replacing some asphalt that was delivered to them but was found to be not up to standard. This work will be carried out at no cost to our project.
