We’re back! After a well-deserved break over Christmas and New Year, our Camex team are back on the lake front for the final stage of the Taupō Town Centre Transformation.
They will be carrying out landscaping work around the southern corner of Roberts and Ruapehu Streets, upgrading the fence along the lakefront, and building the viewing platform that looks out across the lake.
There will also be roadworks around Tongariro Street and Ferry Road, so detours will be in place during the day on Monday 23 January and Tuesday 24 January and the KFC drive-through will be accessed from Ruapehu Street (see map below).
The really exciting part is that work is getting underway on the mana whenua features that will make this space unique to Taupō; you will see these going in over the coming weeks but they will remain covered until they have been blessed and unveiled in our grand opening in March.
