Lake Terrace closed on Sunday for Ironkidz event

The Wairakei Estate Ironkidz 2023 triathlon is on this Sunday 26 February, where everyone is a winner and having fun is the name of the game.

Kids aged seven to fifteen will be gearing up for the IRONKIDZ Triathlon. The five-to-seven-year age group can take part in the fun Splash & Dash event, with a splash in the lake and a dash along the lakefront.

The course is based on Lake Terrace, with a swim along the beach, a circuit ride towards the Lake Taupō Hole in One, and a run towards three-mile bay. To keep everybody safe there will be road closures in place:

Lake Terrace will be closed between Ruapehu Street and Mere Road from 6am to 2pm on Sunday 26 February.
