Final stage of Taupō Town Centre Transformation underway

The final piece of work for the Taupō Town Centre Transformation gets underway next week.

The work will see overhead lighting added to the northern end of Roberts Street, with Roberts Street closed from the Waterside restaurant to outside Subway while the work is underway. The remainder of Roberts Street, including the KFC drive-through, will remain open with access via Ruapehu Street.

The work is expected to take three to four weeks to complete. As usual, use caution around the work site.

While we apologise in advance for any inconvenience, we’re really looking forward to having this last piece of the puzzle complete and our new lakefront ready for a long, hot summer!
