AC Baths leisure pool closed for maintenance, will reopen 16 April

The AC Baths leisure pool maintenance has been delayed a few days due to bad weather, so the pool will remain closed up to and including Monday 15 April.

Leisure pool, hydroslides and private thermal pools will all re-open on Tuesday 16 April.

  • We'll have inflatables in the indoor lane pool over the weekend and free swimming space in the outdoor lane pool. Lane pools, cafe and sauna, are all open as normal.
  • The new non-slip tile surface requires dry conditions to set safely, and the recent unsettled weather has unfortunately caused a delay in this process.
  • While we complete the resurfacing, the team are hard at work refilling and treating the water so everything is in perfect condition for reopening.

AC Baths leisure pool, hydroslides, tarzan swing, and private thermal pools, will be closed for essential maintenance between Tuesday 2 April to Friday 12 April inclusive.

They will re-open on Saturday 13 April.

  • Swim school classes are unaffected, operating as normal.
  • Aqua Shallow classes will be in the outdoor lane pool.
  • The lane pools, café and sauna will be open as normal throughout this time.

AC Baths is an all-weather, family-friendly pool complex thermally heated using natural hot water. Keeping it in tip-top shape for all users means we unfortunately need to close the leisure pool for a short period.

Water will be completely drained so that the tile surrounds can be replaced. A non-slip surface will also be applied to the swing island and main entrance to the pool. The pool will then be refilled, heated, and treated for safe use. We'll also take this opportunity to give the place a spring clean!

Going forward, not only will your pool look much nicer, it will be safer, and result in lower maintenance costs.

Before this work kicks off all pools will be up and running with the facility open 7am to 7pm every day over the Easter long weekend.
