Several footpath and intersection upgrades are set to begin along Whangamata Road in Kinloch.
The first of these is the installation of a footpath along Whangamata Road from Kinloch Road to Oakdale Drive. We will also be installing a parking bay at the entrance to the Whangamata Stream Scenic Reserve.
While this work is under way there will be some improvements to the Kinloch Road/Whangamata Road intersection, including widening the shoulder. Safety improvements are also scheduled for two intersections, the Whangamata Road and Hitiri Road intersection, and the Whangamata Road and Poihipi Road intersection.
The work is scheduled for completion in February, but disruption will be kept to a minimum during the busy Christmas season. Please use caution around the worksites.
