Spring is in the air and we’re having a spring clean and spruce up around Te Ātea before we welcome our summer visitors.
Our Parks and Reserves team will be doing some work in the Ātea space itself, as well as some landscaping to the south of the ever-popular #LOVETAUPŌ sign. At the same time, the Transport team will be trialling a new road layout on Roberts Street.
From Monday 25 November, it will be left turn only out of Roberts Street onto Ruapehu Street, so there is no right turn and no going straight to continue down Roberts Street either.
This is to smooth traffic flows over the busy summer months, and you will also notice that the planter boxes on Roberts Street have moved in a little to help slow traffic. Last but by no means least, we have some new signs going in to help tell the story of Te Ātea.
We’re predicting a super busy summer and our lakefront is going to be summer-ready and looking better than ever!
