Waste Management Minimisation Plan
Introduction
Taupo District Council's Waste Management Minimisation Plan is up for review and we want your feedback.
The plan aims to protect public health and safeguard the Taupo District by ensuring refuse and recycling is managed in a safe, efficient and sustainable manner, and it is reviewed every six years to make sure this is being achieved.
As part of the development of our draft plan we assessed the effectiveness of existing services and infrastructure and identified a number of new waste minimisation initiatives that could be implemented.
We all have a part to play in looking after the place we love, and you can help by taking the time to think about the items that have been identified in the review and by giving us your thoughts.
Our existing waste minimisation programmes and the new initiatives we are proposing are all outlined in the documents found below.
