Labour weekend opening hours

Our Customer Service and i-SITE Visitor Information Centres in Taupō and Turangi will be open 10am to 1pm on Labour Day, while the Mangakino Centre is closed. All libraries will be closed for the day on Monday. Taupō and Turangi libraries will be open on Saturday as usual.

Kerbside rubbish and recycling collections will be running as normal on Labour Day, so if Monday is your usual pickup day please make sure everything is kerbside by the normal time of 7.30am.

Landfill and transfer stations remain open, and hours can be found by visiting our website at taupo.govt.nz/rubbish.

Taupō Museum will be open from 10am to 4.30pm every day over the long weekend. From Saturday, go along and check out new works from some of New Zealand’s street art originators at the new exhibition “Public Access 6”!
