Customer service centres and venues closed on Monday

New Zealand will commemorate Queen Elizabeth II with a state memorial and one-off public holiday on Monday, September 26.

On this day, all of Taupō District Council’s venues and customer service centres will be closed. This includes the AC Baths, Taupō Events Centre, Turtle Pools, Taupō Museum, Taupō, Mangakino and Tūrangi libraries, and the Great Lake Centre.

Kerbside rubbish and recycling collections will still go ahead. Public holiday opening hours apply to Broadlands Road Landfill and Resource Recovery Centre, as well as the district-wide transfer stations.

The citizenship ceremony booked in at the Great Lake Centre will still go ahead.
