Free disposal of green waste this weekend

While we’ve got off relatively lightly compared to other regions, Cyclone Gabrielle has made quite a mess around the rohe and many of you will have green waste to dispose of.
To help, this weekend you can bring your green waste to any of our transfer stations around the district for free. We’d like to say thanks to everybody for pitching in and helping in so many ways throughout the week, it’s been fantastic to see communities come together and support each other when it’s needed the most.
The free offer applies for green waste only on Saturday and Sunday, 18 and 19 February during the normal opening hours at our transfer stations in Taupō (Broadlands Road), Kinloch, Mangakino, Omori/Kuratau, Tūrangi and Whareroa.
