Multi-year funding opportunities open for applications today
The Strategic Partnership and Accelerator funds are multi-year, contestable funds available to eligible community groups or organisations.
These funds are open for applications from 4 November to 10 December.
Strategic Partnership Fund
This can be accessed by eligible community groups or organisations who will support Council to achieve key strategic outcomes and/or provide advice on business–as–usual activities, programmes, and projects. Agreements under this fund last for three years and may be renewed following Council’s long-term planning process where strategic priorities are determined.
The Strategic Partnership Fund consists of $300,000 per annum to be distributed across five key areas:
- Sport, recreation, and reserves planning
- Arts, culture, and ngā toi
- Climate risk
- Community wellbeing
- Sustainable transport choices
Applicants must demonstrate eligibility and alignment to the community funding priorities by showing the support they can provide Council to achieve one of our strategic outcomes
Accelerator fund
This fund has been designed for groups who need an extra boost and support to achieve aspirations that contribute to community wellbeing. The fund provides financial and in-kind support to groups over three years. As well as providing financial support, we will work alongside groups to provide advice and facilitate opportunities to develop your organisation.
The Accelerator Fund provides a maximum of $20,000 annually per recipient, for three years. The fund also includes in-kind support from Council’s community development team. Recipients are not eligible to receive the fund more than once.
