New commercial licence proposal at Hipapatua Recreation Reserve

Background

Taupō District Council invites submissions from those with an interest in Hipapatua/Reid's Farm Recreation Reserve, 157 Huka Falls Road, Taupo. The land is owned and administered by Taupō District Council and is classified as recreation reserve.

Under Section 54(1)(d) of the Reserves Act 1977, Taupō District Council proposes to issue a new commercial licence for a portion of Sec 7 SO 39362 Blk XIV, Tatua SD (157 Huka Falls Road) to 4nature NZ Ltd.

The proposed licence is to allow the establishment of an aerial eco/adventure tourism activity called a Fly-Line through trees on the southern end of the reserve.
