About the competition

It’s time to get stuck into Clean Up Week, between 23 to 27 September 2024.

Keeping Taupō district the best in Aotearoa means putting in the mahi. Make a positive impact in your local community by getting involved with Clean Up Week and doing a litter pick-up event.

With our help, it's easy to do! You choose where you want to do the litter pick up, when you want to do it, and how many students you want to involve. We’ll help you out with the rest by providing supplies and disposal of all the collected litter.

Our Clean Up Week all-schools competition is free to enter and has heaps of amazing prizes on offer. If you’re not part of a school, you can still get register your own event and get stuck in at Keep New Zealand Beautiful.

Communities and tamariki across the rohe from Tūrangi to Taupō put in a fantastic effort last year, with over 1500 students picking up more than 400kg of litter. Let’s go bigger and better this year!
