*Casual visitors need to hire a harness unless they are bringing their own. There is no charge for belayers but they must be at least 13 years of age and attend a safety briefing.
**All climbers under 16 must be signed in by an adult taking responsibility.

Membership

We offer a variety of memberships options at the AC Baths, Fitness Studio and Taupō Rockwall with a reduced membership rate available for seniors, students and families! No joining fee is required for any membership.

Group bookings

The climbing wall is a popular option for group bookings for schools, youth groups and corporates. We offer a range of packages to suit most budgets from casual visits to regular bookings for your group. Team building activities are a great way to bring your team together. Qualified instructors are on hand to offer valuable advice and assist with technique. Discounted rates are available for groups with ten or more climbers, with harness hire included. We can also incorporate pool activities at the AC Baths.

Industry wall hire

Industry wall hire is the perfect option for a wet weather alternative for your group or as part of a climbing trip to the Central North Island. Bring your own qualified instructors and hire the wall on an hourly basis. Take advantage of our built-in top rope system, our lead climbing walls and our platforms suitable for abseiling practice. Copies of instructors' qualifications (NZOIA Rock 1 or equivalent) must be received with your booking.

Wall hire is $80 per hour.

Birthday parties at the Rockwall

If you're looking for the perfect all-weather option for your child's next birthday party, try the Rockwall - and our birthday party combo package! What's included?

  • Entry for 12 children to the Rockwall, including harness hire.
  • Two hours of climbing fun.
  • A dedicated instructor teaching parents how to belay.
  • Two hours hireage of our clubroom with sound system and kitchenette for all your party needs.
  • Party invitations for 12 children.
  • Cost of package is $335.00

Birthday combo packages are also available for smaller groups.
