Parking fines
Parking fines are issued when drivers overstay the allocated time limit or park in an unsafe way, such as on broken yellow lines.
Tickets can also be issued for an expired warrant of fitness and/or registration.
If you wish to dispute the ticket, you will need to fill in our online explanation form before the infringement is sent to Court. Please include the infringement number noted on the ticket.

Payments for parking tickets can be made online, in person at Taupo District Council or by post. You have 28 days to pay the fine from the date your parking infringement ticket was issued.

Other ways to pay your parking ticket
If you are late in paying your infringement it will be lodged with Taupo District court and will incur an additional fee applied by the courts. Further action will be taken by the court and any payments should be made to them.
