We understand and appreciate the importance of our community and not-for-profit groups and organisations within the Taupō district.
Te Pā Harakeke is a people-first approach to building a strong, resilient, and flourishing community for future generations.
You all play an important role in our lives – from connecting and encouraging new sporting, recreational and social opportunities, to providing platforms for all walks of life and lending a hand in times of need. The work that takes place is so valued and meaningful.

This in-person workshop offers a comprehensive look at governance roles and the skills needed to be an effective trustee, board or committee member.
Spaces are limited. Note that this workshop covers all topics in the webinars: Introduction to governance, trustee development, and understanding the Incorporated Societies Act.

The harakeke (flax) plant is often used as a metaphor for families and communities. Just as the harakeke bush relies on its different parts to thrive and grow, so do communities who rely on each member to support and sustain one another. Te Pā Harakeke is about developing interconnectedness and growth.
